Magic Weapons. The hellwasp's weapon attacks are magical.

Boiling Blood. At the start of each of the hellwasp's turns, each creature within 5 feet of it takes 7 (2d6) fire damage, and flammable objects in the aura that aren't being worn or carried ignite. If the hellwasp has half its hit points or fewer remaining (26), the damage is increased to 14 (4d6).

ACTIONS

Multiattack. The hellwasp makes three attacks: one with its bite, one with its sword talons and one with its sting.

Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +8 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 11 (1d12 + 5) piercing damage plus 9 (2d8) necrotic damage.

Sword Talons. Melee Weapon Attack: +8 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 19 (4d6 + 5) piercing damage and the target is impaled with the hellwasp's sword talon. An impaled target is restrained and can use its action to make a DC 16 Strength check. On a success, the target is no longer restrained and takes 14 (4d6) piercing damage. On a failure, the target takes half as much damage. The hellwasp has two sword talons, each of which can impale only one target.

Sting. Melee Weapon Attack: +8 to hit, reach 5 ft., one creature. Hit: 10 (1d10 + 5) piercing damage plus 13 (2d12) fire damage plus 22 (4d10) necrotic damage and the target must succeed on a DC 16 Constitution saving throw or be poisoned for 2 hours.


Hellwasps are a native species to the Nine Hells, though they aren't technically devils. They are extremely intelligent and capable of telepathy with each other, speaking Infernal. They are extremely territorial and have painful stings.
Warrior hellwasps are a rare mutated hellwasp that become extremely aggressive after metamorphoses. Often kicked out of their nests these hellwasps have a poison more deadly than all natural beasts, and the majority of unnatural creatures. Their venom is most potent in their stingers like hellwasps, however it not only burns like alchemist's fire, but induced blood necrosis, basically causing the blood to disintegrate. If a creature survives the initial contact, what follows is two whole hours of excruciating pain, as their body helplessly tries to dissolve the venom. If a creature survives an encounter with a warrior hellwasp, it is nothing short of a miracle.
