Flash Fire. If the vulpix is hit by an attack that deals fire damage, on the vulpix's next turn they can add +1 to their attack die. This ability can stack (as in 1 attack gives +1, 2 attacks gives +2, 3 attacks gives +3) but resets once they make an attack.

Incinerate. Ranged Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, reach 60/120 ft., one target. Hit: 6 (1d6 + 3) fire damage.

Vulpix Variant (Alolan)

Ice Resistances. Instead of the normal immunity and vulnerability, the alolan vulpix has an immunity of cold damage and a vulnerability of fire. Also, the alolan vulpix knows Auran instead of Ignan for its language.

Snow Cloak. Instead of the normal feature the alolan vulpix gains this one. When in snowy weather or in a snowy environment, alolan vulpix can use its Hide action as a reaction.

Ice Beam. Ranged Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, reach 60/120 ft., one target. Hit: 6 (1d6 + 3) cold damage. This attack goes in place of Incinerate.

Vulpix on the left and Alolan Vulpix on the right.

Vulpix are prized for their lovely coats and their multiple tails which keep splitting off as they grow and some people believe that the fire that the vulipx exhale may be a departed spirit. Alolan vulpix were once known as keokeo, and some older folk still use that name. Vulpix and alolan vulpix ae very similar creatures, the only difference being that one is ice and the other is fire. They are very playful creatures, but also fairly careless. At times, you must be careful of an excited vulpix so that it won't either freeze you into an ice cube or light you on fire. Vulpix are found in the forests while alolan vulpix tend to stay in the mountains.
