Vasharians universally have black or deep brown skin and light shades of hair, including hues of blue, black, brown, grey, red and mixtures of these. Their eyes are often light colors such as blue or pink, and some even have off-white pupils. Sigils of silver usually are embedded in their skin from a young age, symbolizing virtues in their culture.

History[edit]

Vasharians are very secretive about their true origins. They say their original ancestors were beings the descended from the Astral Plane into the Feywilds. Supposedly, their original home had been destroyed by some great war, and the ones who fled to the Feywilds were those of the losing sect. With them, they bought a special knack for abjuration magic. The runes on their body are usually signs of their ancestry, but some have adopted druidic symbols after having adapted to the Feywilds. They have only recently made contact with the Material Realm.

Society[edit]

They have no defining religion, but gladly adapt those of others by subtly hanging them. Their government is an aristocracy that is ethical in its own ways, seeing other societies as "other." Vasharians refer to themselves as "Vushaari". Their cities are famous for their gardens, which feature otherworldly hanging architecture and such. Usually, they exist in symbiosis with another species, given that they are amicable and sentient. Their magical practices focus exclusively on abjuration. Under stress, they undergo distinct personality changes, usually becoming either meek or hostile.

Vasharian Names[edit]

Vasharians use Sylvan, having adapted to the Feywild language. In Sylvan, c represents the "tʃ" sound and dh represents the "ð" sound.
