Variant Weapon Specialization [General, Fighter]

A variant of the general Weapon Specialization feat that's not lame.
Prerequisite: Proficiency with selected weapon, Weapon Focus with selected weapon and Fighter 4 or base attack bonus +8
Benefit: With a weapon that you have Weapon Focus with, you gain extra damage equal to half your ability modifier used to determine extra damage. For melee weapons, this is generally Strength. For ranged weapons (with the Marksman feat), it is Dexterity. For example, an Orc with 18 strength wielding a bastard sword, he gains 1.5x his strength modifier to damage. If he were to use it as a two-handed weapon, he would gain 2x his strength modifier to damage.
Special: You can gain this feat multiple times. Its effects do not stack. Each time you take the feat, it applies to a new type of weapon that you have Weapon Focus in. A fighter may select Variant Weapon Specialization as one of his fighter bonus feats.
