Green Dragon Adventure[edit]

Background[edit]

Recently Davrass, a male adult green dragon from the forests of the southern Wild Coast area, has moved into its new lair, inside the Silver Forest. It terrorizes the whole forest, especially a large tribe of Pixies, his favorite food, as well as the sylvan elves living there. The druid looking after the Silver Forest, who was on good terms with the Pixies, was one of the first victims of the dragon.

Davrass knows that there are strong forces around the forest, in Keoland's capital city of Diole Dra, as well as in Kewlbanks and the Duchy of Ulek, so he does not plan to set up a permanent residence here, but to retreat once he notices that a strong force is acting against him. But while he gets away with it, he plans to pillage everything he can get. His main hoard is still buried in a cave beyond the Lortmils, and he occasionally brings parts of his loot there, so his hoard in the Silver Forest is a comparatively small one.

The PCs are on their way along the fringe of the forest when a band of Pixies notices them. At first the Pixies just want to have some fun, to distract themselves from their miserable situation, but if the PCs show some expertise they are trying to get their help to cope with the dragon.

There are only few sylvan elves dwelling in the forest, and they are still too proud and too suspicious of their high elf cousins to seek help there. They have a somewhat haughty attitude on their Pixie neighbors, so the Pixies consider them as bad sports and won't try to ask them for help.

If the PCs manage to forge an alliance with the pixies and the elves, it should be not too hard to chase away, or even kill the dragon.

Ideas[edit]

The Pixies will try to lure the group into the forest with their illusion capabilities, one of them has two potions of Influence_Weather_(3.5e_Spell), both conjuring heavy fog around its user, which they'll use to assist these efforts. In addition they'll place some gold pieces and shiny items on the trail into the forest, hoping the PCs will take the bait.
