For Players[edit]

  • Character Options
    • Alternate Class Features: The category in and of itself right now is pretty much fine, but the page creation guideline makes very little sense in the context of Pathfinder, as it suggests you replace one class feature with another. In Pathfinder, you would either take an Archetype for your class, replacing one or more class features, or take one of many class-specific variant class features (e.g. Sorcerer Bloodlines, Cleric Domains, Psychic Disciplines etc.). Archetypes should definitely be their own category [My Archetype (Pathfinder Archetype)], and the class-specific should ideally have their own page-creation templates [My Sorcerer Bloodline (Pathfinder Class Feature)/My Cavalier Order (Pathfinder Class Feature)]. Finally, I think the category should simply be called Class Features, without Alternate, as these don't replace a class's base feature, they are an option for an inherently modular feature.
    • Feats: This page lists a lot of Feat categories, almost none of which exist in Pathfinder (which has a *lot* of Feat categories). The Feat page creation guideline and template seem fine (though the guideline refers to several feat categories that don't exist in Pathfinder such as Divine Feats), so this would be a matter of replacing all these categories with the Pathfinder feat categories.
      • Pathfinder Feat Categories are General, Achievement, Alignment, Armor Mastery, Betrayal, Blood Hex, Called Shot, Combat, Combination, Conduit, Coven, Critical, Damnation, Esoteric, Faction, Familiar, Gathlain Court Title, Grit, Hero Point, Item Creation, Item Mastery, Meditation, Metamagic, Origin, Panache, Performance, Shield Mastery, Stare, Story, Style, Targeting, Teamwork, Trick, Weapon Mastery, Words of Power. Bolded are feat categories that have appeared in more than one sourcebook. Achievement feats have been replaced by Story feats starting with Ultimate Campaign.
    • Traits: Nothing wrong with this one. The Preload is specifically made for Pathfinder and explains how it's different from 3.5e.
    • Flaws: Pathfinder doesn't have flaws, it has drawbacks, which are basically traits that give a penalty instead of a bonus and allow you to take an additional trait. Drawbacks could probably be merged into traits.
  • Classes
    • Classes: The preload is good as a starting point, but includes several references to the SRD instead of the PFSRD and generally a lot of clutter than isn't relevant to Pathfinder (powers, psionics, epic tier, etc.). It could probably be rewritten with a Pathfinder class as a template without too much difficulty.
    • Prestige Classes: Same as Classes.
    • NPC Classes: I'm not sure why anyone would want to write a new NPC class for Pathfinder, but this seems fine in case someone wanted to do it. Could be probably safely removed though.
    • Racial Classes and Racial Paragon Classes: Pathfinder has neither of those.
  • Complex Special Ability Components: I have no idea what this is or how it relates to Pathfinder. This should be replaced with Spells, who also seem to need a template and a preload (which can be adapted from the 3.5e spell template).
  • Equipment: The table on this page should be rewritten to reflect item types in Pathfinder (there's no Epic Magic Items in Pathfinder, for example).
    • Weapons: Needs a preload.
    • Equipment Items: If there's a Pathfinder Equipment template, it should probably go in here. If there isn't, there should probably be one.
    • Magic Items: Needs a preload.
    • Artifact: This one is surprisingly fine. It only needs a Destruction line in the template, as all Artifacts have those.
    • Materials: Needs a preload, I guess. Not very high priority.
      • Pathfinder Mundane Item Categories are Adventuring Gear, Alchemical Reagents, Alchemical Remedies, Alchemical Tools, Alchemical Weapons, Animal Gear, Black Market, Channel Foci, Clothing, Concoctions, Dragoncraft, Dungeon Guides, Entertainment, Food/Drink, Fungal Grafts, Herbs, Kits, Lodging/Services, Mounts/Pets, Pathfinder Chronicles, Spellbooks, Tinctures, Tools, Torture Implements, Transport/Vehicles. Bolded are item categories that have appeared in more than one sourcebook.
      • Pathfinder Magic Item Categories are Armor, Construct Modifications, Cursed Items, Demonic Implants, Devil Talismans, Elemental Augmentations, Fleshcrafting, Genie Seals, Infused Poisons, Intelligent Items, Juju Fetishes, Legacy Items, Magical Plants, Magical Sets, Magical Tattoos, Necrografts, Necrotoxins,Potions/Oils, Relics, Rings, Rods, Shadow Piercings, Staves, Thassilonian Runes, Weapons, Woundrous Items. Bolded are item categories that have appeared in more than one sourcebook.
  • Optimized Character Builds: Simply copied from 3.5e, this still includes all the references to SRD and WotC instead of PFSRD and Paizo.
  • Races: The category itself needs to be rewritten for Pathfinder (all the links lead to 3.5e, Pathfinder doesn't have LA or ECL or Bloodlines). It generally doesn't need subpages, just a table with all the races, and if they can be sorted by Race Points all the better. The race creation page has the 3.5e guidelines, which are mostly unrelated to Pathfinder and should be replaced with an explanation of the Race Point system from Advanced Race Guide, but the preload itself seems to be written for Pathfinder and is good.

For GMs[edit]

This is a stupid nitpick, but Pathfinder doesn't have Dungeon Masters, it has Game Masters. This is extremely irrelevant and switching it would probably confuse people more than help them.

  • Campaign Settings: Everything here has no mechanics, so it's presumably good as-is.
  • Creatures: Creatures and Templates both seem fine.
  • Environments: No rules content so this should be fine as is. The directory page seems to repeat itself twice though, so this should probably be fixed.
  • Maps: As Campaign Settings.
  • NPCs: A Pathfinder-specific NPC template should be created, though Pathfinder generally makes no distinction between creatures and NPCs.
  • Quests: Page creation buttons seem to be broken?
  • Rules: Seems ok.

General[edit]

  • Deities: Pathfinder deities aren't sorted into categories such as Lesser, Greater, etc. The preload should be edited to reflect Pathfinder deities (Domains, Subdomains, Obedience, Boons, etc.)
  • Diseases: The page seems to be nonexistent, and I believe it should be under For Dungeon Masters anyway.
