Unknowns (5e Race)

Unknowns are humanoid looking creatures with two small horns on their heads. They have small devil like tails and some even have wings. Some grow out their hair to hide these features and tuck their tail inside their pants. More often than not they will look exactly like humans, unable to tell apart the two. They hide their wings inside their bodies and only let them out when need be. They are masters of survival show they can change some features to survive in different terrains. They are average human height and weight.
Unknowns are ancient immortal beings who don't age or reproduce. They served under the Old Ones as the first inhabitants of the planet. Due to the planets nature at the time they learned how to quickly adapt to different elements. When the old ones left they decided to live along the side the planet but the creatures that showed up throughout time nearly drove them to extinction. Unknowns can still die in battle or illness and when men came they decided to remain hidden. They have been hiding using magic and have lived along side the creatures of today without them ever knowing. Only a few leave their home but once they do they can never return.
Unknowns are as ancient as the Old Ones. They have seem the planet form from the beginning and have decided to hide inside the planet's core. They have their own small city there. Many Unknowns have died in battle in the past and since the creatures can't reproduce they are slowly dying out of existence. This makes leaving the city forbidden. Once an Unknown leaves, they are never allowed to return back. They also must never tell where they came from for if they do then their whole species could be wiped out.
Some Unknowns decide to leave their domain to see what the outside world has to offer. Hope to grow more and learn new things about the world they inhabit but never truly see.
Ability Score Increase. Up to 3 of your ability scores increase by 1 each. You can increase the same ability score multiple times, but cannot increase any score above 20.
Alignment. They can be in any side of the spectrum.
Speed. You have a walking speed of 30 feet
Elemental Transformation. They can adapt to any environment they are in. This allows them to breath in water when needed, become immune to the effects of extreme temperatures, and climb mountains and burrow at their move speed. (Note this does NOT make them immune to any elemental damage)
Darkvision. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can’t discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.
Languages. 2 languages of your choice
