Tranquilizer Rounds (10) (5e Equipment)

From D&D Wiki

Jump to: navigation, search

Any modern firearm which uses bullets for its ammunition can fire tranquilizer rounds. Tranquilizer rounds consist of plastic or rubber bullets which contain a ballistic syringe filled with a potent sedative. In effect, they are a completely unrealistic form of ammunition which can quickly and effectively incapacitate people without causing harmful side effects or injury, like you see in movies and video games.

Tranquilizer rounds deal 1 piercing damage per damage die the weapon would have dealt. On a hit, the target must succeed a DC 20 Constitution saving throw or gain 1 level of exhaustion, or 2 levels if the attack was a critical hit or if the target rolled a "natural 1" on their saving throw. A creature reduced to 0 hit points by an attack using tranquilizer rounds falls unconscious, but is stable and at no risk of dying.
