Tornado[edit]

A tornado can form naturally from storms and such but can also form from certain spells and magical effects. A tornado can range from being 100ft tall and 20ft on its sides to 300ft tall and 100ft on every side. The size of a naturally occurring tornado is up to the DM or can be rolled. If the size is to be rolled, the DM can roll 1d12 and multiply the result by 10 for the width of the tornado. For height, roll a 1d100, multiply the result by 3 and add 60.

There are three strengths of tornado- 1, 2, 3. A 1 is typically smaller or so larger the force is spread out over too larger an area. A 2 is your average tornado, typically fast moving and strong enough to tear apart a few houses. A 3 is large, slow moving, and powerful. It resembles a small hurricane as it slowly tears apart towns and villages. Walled cities are generally safe from natural tornados but magically summoned ones have been known to tear down walls.

Any creature that enters its area of effect must make a strength saving throw with a varying DC- 13 for a class 1 tornado, 15 for a class 2, and DC 18 for a class 3 tornado. On a fail, the creature is pulled into the tornado and whipped about for 3d4 rounds , requiring a Dex check with a DC equal to the one used for the strength check every round or take a random type or amount of damage- roll a 1d6- on a one, the creature is dealt 3d6 bludgeoning damage as a object slams into them. On a 2 the creature is dealt 5d6 slashing damage as various tools and weapons cut into them at high speeds. On a 3, the creature takes 2d6 piercing damage as glass or rcoks cut into them. On a 4-6, the creature is lifted into the air 1/4 of the tornado's height. A heavy enough object can avoid being carried if it has a weight more than what a tornado can carry- objects weighing 300lbs-499lbs get dragged with a class 1 tornado 20ft a round until it is out. An object weighing 500+lbs is shaken but unmoved by the winds of a class 1 tornado. An object weighing 600lbs-799lbs gets dragged 30ft a round by a class 2 tornado until it is out. A object weighing 800+lbs is moved 10ft a round by the tornado until it is out. An object weighing 1 ton+ gets dragged 40ft a round by a tornado. All objects are dragged towards the center and any objects weighing less than 300lbs in a class 1 tornado is picked up into the winds. Same for objects weighing less than 600lbs in a class 2 tornado and less than 1 ton in a class 3 tornado. All objects being dragged are dragged towards its epicenter or until the tornado moves on. Any objects sucked into the storm are thrown out 5d4 rounds later. A class 1 tornado moves 30ft a round, a class 2 tornado moves 50ft a round while a class 3 tornado moves 20ft a round.
