Wondrous item, very rare A large leather bound book that is well worn and smells vaguely of sweat. Reading this book takes 6 hours and can be completed as part of a long rest. Once you have read the book you gain 2 ability points that can be applied as 1 point each to 2 ability scores or 2 points to a single score, exactly as you would for a normal ASI, however they may only be applied to Strength, Dexterity, or Constitution. In addition, you gain proficiency in either Athletics, Acrobatics, or Stealth. If you are already proficient with all 3 possible skills, you instead gain expertise in one of them. Once the book has been read, it loses all magical properties and becomes a mundane fitness manual, regaining it's magic after a century. |
