Toad[edit]

Physical Description[edit]

frogtoadmain.jpg
From Frog and Toad series, by Arnold Lobel

Toads are similar in size to halflings. Like the more common, bestial toad, members of the toad race have green slimy skin and slightly bulbous eyes. Their limbs are on the stumpy side, and they tend to both stand and walk with a posture that seems bow-legged to most humanoids. A toad's hands and feet are webbed, making any one of them a natural swimmer.

History[edit]

Toads have long been a privileged and respected race among humans. They evolved from bullywugs into a knowledgeable merchant race. They have little interaction with humans, but only because they tend to specialize in dealing with more esoteric races.

Society[edit]

Toads often live among wealthy nobles of other races, managing guild offices or small businesses. Despite an appearance others may see as off-putting, toads have sharp wit, sharper tongues, and a seemingly supernatural ability to inspire their peers. They and are renowned for being excellent merchants, leaders, and politicians.
