Talk:Way of the Spirit Fighter (5e Subclass)

I've made a lot of changes on this class, while keeping the core ideas brought up by the creator.

I basically didn't create any of the abilities, just changed, adapted or defined how some abilities work mechanically, just adding fluff where it was missing.

Now, about the reasons behind my choices in each feature edit:

Summon Spirit: i've tried to make this ability somewhat close to the Astral Self monk 3rd level ability. So, this allow monks to make attacks at a higher range (30 ft, compared to the 10 ft from the "Arms of Astral Self Feature"), with a reduced damage output (you can attack only once, compared to the extra bonus action attack from the aforementioned feature). You cannot make checks or saving throw using your wisdom, like the Astral Self Monk, so, iv'e tried to make up for it giving the Spirit hit points and an armor class, make him a target too, instead of the monk.

Spirit techniques: i've used "Deft Strike" (Kensei 6th) as an template to "Spiritual Fist"; and "Fangs of Cinder Snake" as a template to "Energy Pulse".

Elemental spirits: I've limited the ability of using the ability to summon elemental spirits because each one of them now have a spell effect associated with it and grant to the spirit a new mobility option. The cost of the effects (3 ki points) was chosen to match the cost of the elemental abilities of 4 elements monk (Level of the spell + 1 = cost in ki points).

Spiritual Army: the only feature created by me is a simple one, improving the ability that the monk has to summon/create spirits.
