Clarification of Intent[edit]

Revisited this page and saw some odd edits, so thought I should clarify my original intent. This item came about due to a game I was in that went horribly, horribly wrong. Long story short, the party got into an argument with the guards about giving alcohol to minors and escalated it into a lethal melee. After session, I came up with this item to make sure it never happens again. It is not intended as treasure, hence the power (and flavor text). Because of this, I didn't give the option for a reroll; this is meant to quickly end stupid arguments, not be a serious combat option. I also gave this a rarity of common, because every guard has one of these things.

With that said, anyone have objections if I revert the rarity to common? I'm aware it breaks from precedent, but a high rarity for an item manufactured every guard has is misleading. I can introduce a design disclaimer if needed. Also, the repeat on the save gives players the opportunity before guards pin them to the ground, plus adds another dice roll that players need to wait on. Oportet (talk) 14:55, 4 January 2017 (MST)

I might've lied in my last post. I'm not gonna say what I lied about, 'cause it's a super-duper secret. For now. Regardless, ignore my last post. Oportet (talk) 17:39, 4 January 2017 (MST)
