Self critique[edit]

Rating[edit]

Power - 4/5 I give this class a 4 out of 5 because it emphasizes balance in all ways, but the really helpful things are available only at later level. --WC Rhapsode 23:41, 3 October 2009 (MDT)

Wording - 5/5 I give this class a 5 out of 5 because I believe this thing is very well written: I took a long time on it and I have examined it thoroughly. --WC Rhapsode 23:41, 3 October 2009 (MDT)

Formatting - 3/5 I give this class a 3 out of 5 because the Imaginary Friend may deserve a place in the DnD Wiki Monsters section, the spells may need links, and I didn't put in a sample encounter because I was too lazy. --WC Rhapsode 23:41, 3 October 2009 (MDT)

Flavor - 5/5 I give this class a 5 out of 5 because this thing is highly original. Where else would you find a class that offers crap like this one does? --WC Rhapsode 23:41, 3 October 2009 (MDT)

Revision in the works[edit]

Hi there, WC Rhapsody. I'm a long-time player of 3.5 and have many homebrews under my belt, including a Final Fantasy style Oracle (which subsequently took on a life of its own), Puppetmaster, Battle Dancer, and more. I do hope to upload them one of these days.

I was inspired by your Seeker of Dreams for use in a new game, but it didn't QUITE fit my needs. So I'm working on a revision that removes the Peter Pan aspects of the job to replace them with a stronger connection to the Dream. For example, the job losses traits such as Age Regression and Fly at will to be replaced by abilities such as Dreamtouch, allowing other abilities to have additional affects against sleeping targets.

I'll post the first draft once I've mulled it around a little with my co-DM.

Good, Interesting, But it's a little weak.[edit]

Balance - 2/5 I give this class a 2 out of 5 because --Charizardpimpin (talk) 09:19, 29 November 2014 (MST)

Wording - 5/5 I give this class a 5 out of 5 because --Charizardpimpin (talk) 09:19, 29 November 2014 (MST)

Formatting - 4/5 I give this class a 4 out of 5 because <While the information was accessible and formatted correctly, I thought that Int should have been mentioned as a notable ability, as Knowledge (the planes) checks come into effect later on.> --Charizardpimpin (talk) 09:19, 29 November 2014 (MST)

Flavor - 5/5 I give this class a 5 out of 5 because <The flavor is phenomenal! This isn't another "WiZard FiGHter lololol" that people who haven't read anything other than the player's handbook dreamt up (Get it? Dreamt?). This is the most unique and flavorful class that I've thus far encountered. Much more intriguing than even Artificer and Dragon Knight, which one must admit is pretty badass. The concept of the dreamscape is one with so much story potential that this class is a DM's wet dream, if you will. Phenomenal idea.> --Charizardpimpin (talk) 09:19, 29 November 2014 (MST)

      • One thing that I forgot to add to the matter of Balance was the fact that the DC check to summon a creature with the Nightmare Magic special ability is 10+the total HD of the creatures summoned. I just want to point out that that is a rather ridiculous thing to ask. For instance, Nightwing was one of the creatures listed. The HD for this creature is 17d12+34. How in the world do you expect that check to be succeeded upon? I would advise making the DC 10+ (the creature's challenge rating x 1.5, rounded down), as well as specifying Int as an important ability if a knowledge check is going to be required.

Differences[edit]

What is the difference between Dreamscape and some parts of the Farrealm?--63.142.67.85 14:08, 15 August 2015 (MDT)
