I don't think that a common magic item should grant any spell slots, let alone double them. What if I'm a multiclassed spellcaster? Does the benefit only apply to spell slots for appropriate classes? SirSprinkles (talk) 13:15, 17 December 2016 (MST)

  • With the recent revision, removing the common ring, adding its benefit to an uncommon rarity of the item. In addition to that, I made it to where only a full spellcaster gains the benefit of the doubling spells slots. Roteton Kin (talk) 14:56, 17 December 2016 (CST)
  • Why No Benefit for those who Multi-classed into spell casting classes, or to point using ones?, Why is it not craft able,Why does it only double up to 8th level spells vs 9th? The common could double your 1st and 2nd level spell slots. the uncommon your 3rd 4th, the rare 5th and 6th. the very rare 7th, 8th then legendary your 9th? additionally why restrict it to be only usable by the SRD classes when you can just say "Requires the ability to cast spells." or even include Ability's like a racial ability that works like spells, but are limited rests, environment, or situational. example, Last Breath,or Relentless Endurance. just some things to consider.

Questionable Balance[edit]

If I multiclass into a Warlock or Sorcerer for story reasons and then leave the class into a non-spellcasting class, do I, in example, a level 1 Sorcerer suddenly gain a 7th level spell slot?
