I'm not sure what "have advantages on spells with highly verbal components" means? Maybe spells with only a verbal component (such as dissonant whispers or divine word?). But then what is the advantage applied to? Marasmusine (talk) 02:08, 20 June 2015 (MDT)

I think that in 5e if you have advantage in something then you are allowed to roll twice and take the better roll.--209.97.85.48 12:51, 31 October 2015 (MDT)

Finally, someone else who actually bothered to do their research and not assume "cave dweller" meant "subhuman savage"! AlbertKermin (talk)

Regarding Just a Little Bit Further- My understanding could be off, but isn't a lack of ranged weapons one of the reasons why neanderthals ended up dying off? Their spears were designed for thrusting and ambush hunting in forest environments where throwing a spear would be impractical due to the possibility of breaking or losing significant energy by hitting a tree. When the climate started changing, and woodlands started being replaced by steppe, Neanderthals were not able to effectively hunt prey in the open, and were thus outcompeted by Cro Magnon, which is one of the factors leading to the extinction of Neanderthals. Therefore, it doesn't make sense to give a bonus to thrown weapons; perhaps this could be replaced by a bonus when thrusting a spear?
