Talk:Mary Sue (5e Class)

Tempted to attack this and make it actually compatible with the game. Also tempted to, as undeniably against reason it is, attempt to make it something remotely approaching balanced. Y'know, like just put in Expertise boilerplate where it feels fitting and maybe Smite boilerplate for the Fire Temper subclass. I like the variant ASI text though, even though of course Step 1 would be making it so that the class doesn't have reduntifyingly maxed stats to begin with. Maybe I could replace the ASI with a completely different kind of feature, scandalous though that would be; or just say "At ASI levels, you get an actual ASI and a feat".
I also like the idea that you don't start with a weapon, but just contrivedly find one instead (although doublechecking, that's not actually how the wording goes).
Of course, if we're going to go whole hog here, the Sue at least needs proficiency in all ability saves. Or maybe choose custom ones? Dangit, the more I look at these, the more I want to jump in and just edit until morning. Knowlessman (talk) 05:03, 21 March 2017 (UTC)

Uhhh... Why was this blanked? Is it getting moved or something? :/ Knowlessman (talk) 02:17, 22 April 2017 (UTC)
It was unexplained, unprovoked, and from an anonymous account, so I assumed vandalism. In my experience that's pretty common on wikis that allow anonymous edits. Thankfully edits are pretty easy to undo. - Guy (talk) 12:20, 22 April 2017 (UTC)

As a Mary Sue, this class should have 1d12 for hit dice, and a full spell list. Arquebus (talk) 03:00, 26 November 2020 (MST)
