Why the odd conditions for bonuses?[edit]

Why does your target need to be within 0-30ft or farther than 60ft. in order for you to get the bonuses to attack rolls? Why not just make it always active? --130.214.17.20 13:46, 31 March 2009 (MDT)

Because it represents a difference in attack styles. --TK-Squared 13:57, 31 March 2009 (MDT)

Power Attack[edit]

This seems dreadfully OP to me. There is no penalty for using this ability. Not to say there should be a penalty for using a feat, but a free +3 to all damage rolls at level 1, that seems too strong? Why is it not something closer to the SRD Power Attack, but for ranged weapons? Something along the lines of: "On your action, before making ranged attack rolls for a round, you may choose to subtract a number from all ranged attack rolls and add the same number to all ranged damage rolls. This number may not exceed your dexterity modifier. The penalty on attacks and bonus on damage apply until your next turn." --Badger 12:29, 20 September 2009 (MDT)

I'm pretty sure this is just to put the damage of ranged weapons on the same level as melee weapons, as they get at least strength mod to damage, and for two handed they get 1. -- Anonymous 2:26, 7 January 2017 (MDT)
