Talk:Kozane Armor (5e Equipment)

Ive Made a edit to the Kozane armor in line with historical references to the weight and protective capabilities of the armor, Often the armor would weigh closer to 25kg (over 50lb) and generally be inferior to plated style armours when it came to impact deflection or protection of joints where often only the silk cords or chain were present. It was in general more expensive to craft then chainmail due to the number of components and how they were put together with leather, plate and chain elements used together to make the protection of the user not inhibit their freedom of movement to allow horse riding and archery unhindered.

As a medium armor, shouldn't this have a max dex bonus of +2? Not sure if that was intended or not, but it should either have that or be a light armor.--Dorlon (talk) 09:26, 9 April 2017 (UTC)

It's all over the place. Now it says its heavy armor that adds Dex. Heavy armor by definition doesn't add Dex. As kozane is made from strips or scales of leather and metal, the existing statistics for splint or scale adequately covers this armor. Marasmusine (talk) 03:01, 26 June 2017 (MDT)
