grab pack[edit]

So, your going to have to be more specific, what do you mean not in 5e ruleset? I became MORE SPECIFIC with the door, even tho I know its obvious.--Frostboi27 (talk) 10:20, 2 February 2024 (MST)

  • Hand fire does not require an actino to pull the trigger. I can't make any sense of the effect. The melee attack is not worded per a D&D attack; and at 60 feet I feel making it a ranged attack would be more appropriate.
  • Seems to be refering to things that I presume are part of the video game but are not part of D&D: outlets, hand scanners, jump pad etc; so this can't be just dropped into a normal D&D game. This could be supplemental material for a sourcebook or campaign in which these things are defined.
  • "ten seconds" - I have told you before that D&D does not measure durations in seconds. In D&D one round is roughly ten seconds, so you could just say that scanning takes an action.
  • Fireball does not say if it a ranged weapon attack or spell attack; if it is a spell attack what ability score does it use (or is it a set attack bonus?). What is the range? Recharging once per minute is.. okay... (core magical items like wands recharge daily at dawn) but a typical combat enounter is about 5 rounds, and the duration between encounters is _at least_ 5 minutes, so you may as well not give it charges at all.
Again I encourage you read the relevant rulebook so you can see how things are worded; in this case, the Dungeon Master's Guide. Marasmusine (talk) 11:08, 2 February 2024 (MST)

I will list the trigger as an action, and I worded the "outlets, Jump Pads, and hand scanners" the best I could for these rules. The outlet isn't exactly what it sounds like, more like a green triangle with a circle in the middle the hand grabs. I will also add the mechanic of 1 round. The grab pack is not made really for combat, more for solving puzzles. That's why it's more 10 seconds than 1 round. The fireball is a standard attack, and ranged, and the hand does it, not the user. Its worded its best to be like both games.--Frostboi27 (talk) 13:11, 2 February 2024 (MST)

An attack is either "ranged" or "melee"; then "weapon" or "spell". The fireball still doesn't have a range. There's still an effect with "10 seconds". If you're not sure how something is supposed to be worded, please look at the core rulebooks or even the SRD which you can read on this wiki.
I am not forcing you to do all these rewrites; this is a collaborative project, you can leave it to others - but I have now lost track of how many times I have asked you not to remove the "needsbalance" message. Marasmusine (talk) 13:57, 2 February 2024 (MST)
