A few notes.
- Armour costs/availability and food consumption are already considerations of Large size, as adjudicated by the DM.
- You do need to think about the other ramifications of Large size (see "size" at 5e Race Design Guide) and how to balance this.
- If you know roughly what a target's AC is, "Not like that, like this!" is like having advantage on all attack rolls.
