Talk:Darkstalker (5e Feat)

Hello, fellow wikian! I see you are more familiar with 3.5e standards than 5e standards, so here are some comments on your feat:

  • Advantages? Notice that advantages in 5th edition is situational. You do not gain a constant advantage on any rolls; the advantage is supposed to be limited in any ways, be it time limit or very specific conditions. You might consider gaining proficiency in the Stealth skill, or adding double proficiency bonus if you already have one.
  • Senses? You can consult your PHB or even SRD, but all those special senses are not like radar that automatically detects all creatures and objects within range. Well, maybe tremorsense might be, but at least not blindsight or scents (which, by the way, is also shared with human).
Note that Keen Senses feature from many creatures, such as gnolls, just gives advantage to Wisdom (Perception) checks that relies on smells, not an insta-detector.
You might want to consult the Hiding part from SRD for reference, and while you're at it, you can find some help from 5e Feat Design Guide page to better format your feat in 5e standards. --WeirdoWhoever (talk) 07:47, 20 July 2017 (MDT)
