Talk:Collosnon (4e Race)

Just a few issues.

  • What does "choice of two +1 to any +1 to any +2 strength +2 constitution" mean?
  • Regeneration 10 at 11th level; regeneration 18 at 21st level, at-will. This is overpowered. Compare with longtooh shifters, they have regeneration 2, 4, then 6 whilst bloodied as an encounter power.
  • As written, eternal pyre would increase my 1d12 flaming greataxe into a 1d20 weapon. Why not just a +1 to damage rolls? Marasmusine (talk) 15:49, 6 July 2013 (MDT)
Note from the author: I think I've fixed your problems. if there're any more, let me know. I did the '+1 to any' thing because they're supposed to be more human than troll and I wanted to represent that.
So now the regeneration is effectively an encounter power, so you need to pick between that and summon ash guardian as the racial encounter power. I suggest making the regeneration into the racial power, then move summon ash guardian to racial utility powers.
Ability scores line still doesn't make sense. The format is "+2 to X; +2 to Y or Z". There isn't really a good way of making it more "human-like" (look at half-elves, the most human-like non-human). Marasmusine (talk) 09:18, 8 July 2013 (MDT)
Hookay, I've made these changes:
  • Removed the "+2 to any". Humans, and only humans, get that and you certainly don't get that with another racial bonus. I've made Con their primary, with Strength or Charisma as the secondary (so they can go fighter/barbarian, or sorcerer/warlock)
  • Ash guardian can translate between 4 languages, which is the equivalent of a feat, and can do damage: it needs to be daily. Since racial powers are encounter powers, I've moved it to a racial utility power that the player can take at level 2. Since it is a utility power, and not an attack power, I've removed the attack line and replaced it with flat damage.
  • Moved Trollblood to the racial power slot, changed how it works slightly.
  • Moved lava walk and the glow to traits. Marasmusine (talk) 02:02, 12 July 2013 (MDT)

Thanks for doing that. I feel it works better now. Sorry for being so arsey about it before. They are, however, supposed to be giant-like and speak Giant as their primary language, so I'm changing that.
