Talk:Astral Barrier (5e Spell)

Too weak. It’s not reliable. I do understand the need for making a cantrip that let’s you protect yourself as a reaction a bit nerfed, but you only got a limited number of uses AND you can only do so by passing a 15 DC constitution, which is pretty hard, for a mediocre 1d6 damage reduction. This needs a good and reliable buff, like a increase in the amount of uses, or taking out that DC thing, and increasing the damage reduction in upper levels. Anything like this might work. - ReDeath [15:14] GMT -1 2020 March 15.

Per the recent edit summary, "spells don't have short/long rest stipulations"

  1. It's unconventional, but there's no reason a spell can't have such a stipulation.
  2. Without some stipulation, this is too overpowered for a cantrip. Even if it only succeeds sometimes, this cantrip is currently reducing damage you take by ~3 once per round at practically no cost. - Guy 12:46, 15 March 2020 (MDT)
Maybe it should be completely reworked? It could be an action that lasts for a minute or something. I'm not good with spells, so I don't know. --PJammaz (talk) 13:52, 15 March 2020 (MDT)
