Starborn[edit]

Design Note: This is a race I made for a modern superhero campaign me and my friends are going to be playing. It's meant to represent a Kryptonian type race. (which I took a lot of inspiration from, that you could probably tell by reading certain things) So it's definitely a very niche race and isn't very detailed because my DM enjoys adding a lot of detail for these kinds of things. That being said, I encourage anyone to add their own kind of spin to it, so enjoy.

Physical Description[edit]

Starborns are indistinguishable from humans in terms of their appearance; their physiology and DNA, however, couldn't be any more different. Starborns are hard to study and detect because their DNA is so complex that science is not advanced enough to decipher it, and only powerful magic users can detect their race. The cellular structure of a starborn allows for solar energy to be absorbed in extremely high levels, giving them a multitude of strengths.

Starborns have a physical appearance considered strong if any other races were to see them; they have a naturally chiseled and muscular physique because the stars themselves crafted their own bodies. In addition, they are tall with bright shining eyes and pale skin. If they were to come to other planets they would greet the other races with respect and admiration immediately and often mediate and calm any disagreements.

History[edit]

Starborns were quite literally born from the stars. They were created in the rare instance that stars clash together and after that would occur they would then jet off to the far planet known as Staron, which holds very powerful solar energy. After the initial births of the starborn, most of the population was then created from intercourse between the two genders, but the ones who are born from the pure stars are highly worshiped and in turn, adopted as quickly as they land.

Society[edit]

Not much is known about the starborns since it's quite a difficult place to get research about, let alone actually finding it.

The most known by the strongest mages is that some live in the wilderness, while others live in the high society with advanced inventions.
