By spreading out the impact of the wearer's footsteps using a wide, sturdy frame and a lattice of cloth or leather, snowshoes allow their wearer to easily traverse snow, sand, gravel, and other particular terrains. While wearing snow shoes, a creature's movement speed is decreased by 5 feet, but they ignore the effects of difficult terrain caused by snow, sand, gravel, and other particular terrains.
