Spellcasting. The skeleton is a 1st-level spellcaster. Its spellcasting ability is Intelligence (spell save DC 12, +4 to hit with spell attacks). The skeleton has the following wizard spells prepared:

Cantrips (at will): fire bolt, prestidigitation, ray of frost
1st level (2 slots): mage armor, magic missile, shield

ACTIONS

Dagger. Melee or Ranged Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, reach 5 ft. or range 20/60 ft., one target. Hit: 2 (1d4 + 2) piercing damage.

The skeleton caster is another variant of the common skeleton, usually created from someone killed by a spell or a dead wizard. Their abilities may be limited, but they can use the arcane arts and are usually used by necromancers to support the front lines with basic offensive magic. They are also highly intelligent for basic undead and are capable of speech, so some serve necromancers as lieutenants.
