Silk Cord (50 feet) (5e Equipment)

From D&D Wiki

Jump to: navigation, search

This 50 foot strand of silk cord can be used for traps, including as the material component of Snare. A trap made with cord instead of rope can only trap a creature of size Small or smaller. If the cord is used during the casting of Snare, the trap can be triggered by a Tiny creature weighing at least 1/4 lb, such as a Badger, Rat, Rabbit, or Weasel.

The cord has 1 hit point and can be burst with a DC 14 Strength check. During a short rest, a creature with proficiency with Weaver's Tools can split a length of silk rope no longer than 50 feet into 20 strands of silk cord, each of which is the length of the original rope.

Cost: 5 sp
