Signer

Each person, every individual is unique. This is the greatest glory of the universe - that each creature is different from all others. It’s obvious, then, that the multiverse centres around the self. Members of The Sign of One believe it is the power of a person's mind that actually creates and sustains the multiverse. To some, that philosophy is a comfort. But many push the concept to the extreme: They believe that they can make things happen just by imagining them. While the Signers are a coherent group, the faction is really composed of individuals who, at the heart of it all, contradict each other. Most think that they, themselves, are the centre of the multiverse, which implies that the other signers are wrong. A lot of people don't accept this idea. After all, they point to their own feelings and emotions, their own self as proof the Signers are wrong. And the Signers simply claim to have imagined it all. What others feel and think isn't real, only what the Signers feel is. Some members hold variations on the faction's core beliefs, some say that each individual is the centre of their own multiverse, which all exist side by side, and then there are cults of personality where one individual convinces a small group of followers that they are The One. So here's what to do as a Signer, grasp that slice of the multiverse which is your life. Imagine the happy ending, the triumph. It could be yours, if you've got the guts. Don't cling to failure. Stop whining, stop blaming, stop worrying. Imagine yourself radiant. You could be.

Building

Signers espouse focus on mental ability, Intelligence and Wisdom are the major abilities Signers value. Such values also translate into a favouring of the Arcane and Psionic power sources.

Class Prerequisites

None, The Sign of One welcome members of any class. Using their powers of the mind to control others and shape the world around them, psions are the quintessential Signers. Among the Signers are also bards, "All the world's a stage, all the men and women, merely players." Sorcerers seeing their inherent magic power as proof of their Signer beliefs. And battleminds, following the theory that "If I believe I am unbeatable, then I actually become unbeatable."

Race Prerequisites

None, race matters little to those that believe all people are spawned from one's imagination. The Sign of One often seems to attract individuals that are seem detached from normal everyday life, otherworldly races such as eladrin and shardminds make effective Signers. Githzerai are already adept at controlling the matter of the elemental chaos using their minds and thus prove to be accomplished members of The Sign of One.

Associated Skill: None.

Starting Feature

Signers have the little-understood ability of Imagining. With intense focus a Signer can seemingly manipulate the fabric of reality, which can be used to produce a number of effects. Also, given that Signers view the world as but an elaborate illusion, lesser illusions are much less impressive in comparison.

Benefit

One time per extended rest you can use one of the following psion powers: Minor Creation, Shaped Consciousness, Far Hand, Forceful Push, Distract, Send Thoughts. In addition you gain a +1 power bonus to your Will defence against illusion attacks and a +2 power bonus to saving throws against illusion effects.

Additional Features

Level 5 Feature

Signers generally have an appreciation of the practice of magic, seeing it as one of, if not the definitive method of shaping reality. They also have an uncanny knack for finding things, if you ask them why, they'd probably say that they inherently know where everything in the universe is because they put it there.

Benefit

You gain a +2 power bonus to Arcana checks and Perception checks.

Level 10 Feature

The most accomplished Signers gain a mastery of their power of Imagining, being able to do so with much less effort.

Benefit

You are able to use one of the previously mentioned psion powers once per short rest instead of once per extended rest.
