Shieldmaster's Offensive

Prerequisites: Shield master feat
You have perfected the art of fighting with weapon and shield in tandem. You gain the following benefits while you are wielding a shield:

  • If you take the Attack action on your turn, you can attempt to shove a creature as a free action, instead of as the bonus action granted by the Shield Master feat. You can use this benefit only once on each of your turns.
  • If you take the Attack action on your turn, you can use a bonus action to make one melee weapon attack with your shield. This attack uses the same ability modifier as the primary attack. The shield's damage die for this attack is 1d4, and it deals bludgeoning damage.
