Wondrous Item, artifact

The Sheikah Slate resembles a rock slate oproximetly the size of a tablet. It has a handle on the top that can be clipped to a belt. One one side is the Sheikah eye, and on the other is a touch screen which contains activation for the Scope, Runes, Map, Album and Hyrule compendium.

Scope Activating the scope feature lets you see through the screen and out the Sheikah eye, which lets you see up to 1 mile away without difficulty, able to discern fine details as if looking at something no more than 100 feet away.

Runes The Sheikah Slate has a total of six runes, each with unique abilities: Bombs, Magnesis, Stasis, Cryonis, Camera, and the Master Cycle Zero. A Sheikah Slate might come with all of these Runes, or you might have to download Runes at guidance stones, as determined by your DM.

  • Bombs: The Bomb Rune creates a blue sphere or cube (your choice) about the size of a basketball that appear in your hands. The bomb can be thrown up to 15 and weighs 1/15 of a pound. Even though they are an explosive device, it can only be detonated by pressing the bomb icon on the Sheikah Slate. When a bomb explodes, it deals 1d12 force damage to all creatures within a 10ft. sphere. Once a bomb is detonated, it takes 6 seconds for the Sheikah Slate to recharge and be ready to create a new bomb.
  • Bombs+: If your DM decides you can upgrade your Sheikah Slate at a Guidance stone, the Bombs now deal 2d12 force damage and recharge in 3 seconds.
  • Magnesis: The Magnesis Runes sends a magnetic force onto a large or smaller metal object and allows you to pull it closer to you or push it away while manipulating what height it is at. The Magnesis Rune has a range of 50ft. and targeted objects will not go farther than 50ft. from you. You can move an object up to 50ft. in a single turn as an action. If you use and Magnesis to hit something as a weapon, it deals bludgeoning damage equal to xd6+y, with x being how many feet it traveled before hitting the target divided by ten (round down), and y being determined on what size of the object (tiny=0, small=2, medium=5, large=10). When you try to hit something, make an attack roll with proficiency bonus and your dexterity modifier. Attack rolls against something within 5t. has disadvantage.
  • Stasis: activating the Stasis Rune and pointing it at an object let’s you freeze time for a single object. The chosen will immediately freeze in time and lose all momentum. The Rune also freezes an infinitely tiny amount of air around the object, so if it is air when it is frozen it will not fall. An object that is hit while frozen will not move, but build up momentum and move after it is no longer frozen. An object hit several times will build up even more momentum, and be launched in the direction it was last hit. Once an object is frozen, it will remain that way for 6 seconds before unfreezing or you deactivating it manually with the Sheikah Slate.
  • Stasis+: if your DM allows you to upgrade your Sheikah Slate at a guidance stone, you can upgrade your Stasis Rune to Stasis+. Stasis+ freezes objects for 12 seconds and can freeze creatures for a time based on their size (Gargantuan creatures are 2 seconds or 10 initiative count, huge creatures are 4 seconds or 20 initiative count, large creatures are 6 seconds or 1 turn, and medium and smaller creatures are 12 seconds or 2 turns).
  • Cryonis: The Cryonis Rune allows you to creat pillars of ice out of water. By pointing the Shiekah Slate at a body of water and pressing the Cryonis Icon as an action, an ice pillar 5ft. wide by 5ft. long by 10 ft. tall. The ice is climbable and can be created either vertically or horizontally. You can only have three pillars at a time, and when you try to create a fourth the first one is destroyed. The Pillar have an AC of 10, 30 hit points, and can be destroyed automatically by pointing the Sheikah Slate at it and pressing the Cryonis Rune. The pillaras are also destroyed when the Sheikah Slate moves 100 ft. away from them.
  • Camera: The Camera Rune is just what it sounds like; a rune that can create true to life images on your screen and then save them to your gallery.
  • Camera+: If your DM allows you to upgrade your Sheikah Slate at a guidance stone, you can upgrade your Camera Rune to Camera+. Camera plus can identify Creatures, Monsters, Materials, Equipment and Treasure and saves them in your Hyrule Compendium.
  • Master Cycle Zero: The Master Cycle Zero Rune summons the Master Cycle Zero into an open space no farther than 10ft. away from you. The MCZ is a motorcycle that resembles a mechanical unicorn. It seats one, travels 60ft. and can travel 3 miles on a full tank. The MCZ’s tank opens when you hold throwaway materials by the seat. The seat will open up, and you can throw in the materials to recharge it, the more mechanical the better. It normally takes about 2 handfuls of mechanical parts to recharge it completely. The MCZ has 20 AC, 50 hit points, and when it is destroyed disappears in blue light and can be re-summoned by taping the Master Cycle Zero Rune on your Sheikah Slate. When you re-summon it, the MCZ will come back at full hit points and with the same tank it was destroyed with. The Master Cycle Zero de-spawns after you move 50t. away from it.

Map The map is a complete map of Hyrule that marks anything of importance. Five colored markers can be placed anywhere on the map, and are visible through the scope. They disappear if the Sheikah Slate comes within 10ft. of one, or can be changed to a stamp that only appears on the map. The map also shows any towers, shrines, or tech labs that you can teleport to automatically by taping the locations icon. The map is divided into each region of Hyrule, and to unlock the map for each region you must climb the tower in that region and download the map data on the guidance stone at the top of it.

Album The Album can hold up to 48 pictures taken by the Camera Rune. If a 49th picture is taken, then the Sheikah Slate will give you the option to delete it or delete another one in the Album. Pictures logged into the Hyrule Compendium are permanent until replaced by another compendium. The Album cannot be activated unless the Camera Rune is on the Sheikah Slate. If the Camera Rune is removed somehow, the Hyrule Compendium is erased, and all saved pictures change to saved data that cannot be viewed but are restored when the Camera Rune is restored at a guidance stone.

Hyrule Compendium The Hyrule compendium tracks data on Creatures, Monsters, Materials, Equipment and Treasure you’ve captured with the Camera Rune. For creature and monsters you have photographed, you gain advantage in Wisdom (Survival) checks to track them, and advantage in Intelligence checks to recall information about them. You can also freely read their description in the monster manual, but NOT THE STAT BLOCK. Other than that, it gives basic details on whatever it is, with anything from apples to swords to magic potions.
