Shakuran[edit]

Physical Description[edit]

Shakurans are tall cyclops-like humanoids that hail from another world. A Shakuran's height can be anything from middle-high five feet to well over six feet tall. They usually possess spiky hair the color of which ranges from white to pink to purple, sharp teeth and pointed ears. They have one large eye and skin of many diverse colors from white to light-blue to dark-blue to black with crack-shaped markings that start from their eyes and cover most of their bodies that can also be any color of the mentioned range.

History[edit]

The Shakurans were born on a planet with very harsh conditions and thus have evolved to have strong regenerative abilities. They are adaptable and know how to get around and survive almost anywhere. Over time Shakurans split into a few different subtypes, and they diverged into different paths of evolution, finding different methods of survival.

Society[edit]

The Shakuran people are spread very thin, very few are left existing out in the world after a mass-slaughter of their race by a particular godly being. Thus Shakurans are EXTREMELY unlikely to ever form any type of society. A very select few ever meet another Shakuran that is not part of their family in their lifetime. Wherever they appear they draw attention, either because they are not like anyone else or simply because they are a near-extinct species.

Shakuran Names[edit]

Male: Boros, Ravin, Rakdos, Azor

Female: Selesnya, Izzet, Naya, Simica

Shakuran Traits[edit]

All Shakurans possess regenerative abilities, though some are stronger than others when it comes to this aspect. All Shakurans are good at surviving under harsh environmental conditions
Ability Score Increase. Your Constitution score increases by 2
Age. Shakurans usually have a life span of about 300 years. They reach maturity at age 20, but keep growing, and completely reach adulthood at 30. After this they remain at peak physical condition until the age of 250, then their abilities begin to decline.
Alignment. Shakurans are a harsh race of people and tend to have Chaotic natures. Some of the best do-gooders and evil masterminds are among them
Size. Shakurans vary widely in height and build, from under 6 feet to well over 6 feet tall, some even reaching 7 feet. Your size is Medium.
Speed. Your base walking speed is 30 feet.
Darkvision. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can't discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.
Regeneration. At the start of your turn you regain 1 hit point, if you have at least 1 hit point, are conscious, and are not incapacitated.
Adaptable. You've grown accustomed to living in harsh climates, you have proficiency in the survival skill.
Languages. You can speak, read, and write Common and one other language of your choice.
Subrace. Choose between the Warrior and Energy Manipulator subraces.

Shakuran Warrior[edit]

Ability Score Increase. Your Strength score or Dexterity score increases by 1, your choice.
Improved Regeneration. you have honed your regenerative abilities to go beyond that of your regular. But it will take some time for the changes to become noticeable. You now regain hit points equal to half of your character level at the start of each of your turns (minimum of 1), instead of just 1. The same conditions must still apply, as per your regular Regeneration feature.

Shakuran Energy Manipulator[edit]

Ability Score Increase. Your Intelligence score or Wisdom score increases by 1, your choice.
Latent Energy. you have potent powerful energies lingering deep within you. You can manipulate them to aid you in your endeavors. You learn a cantrip of your choice from any spell list. Your spellcasting ability modifier for this cantrip is the same as the class from which you took the cantrip (ex. fireblast from the wizard spell list uses Intelligence, eldritch blast from warlock uses Charisma, etc.). Similarly, you learn any one 1st-level spell of your choice. You may cast this spell once per long rest.
