Shadowflame Gem (5e Equipment)

Wondrous item, legendary A glowing purple gem filled with shadow energy, believed to originate from Shadowfell. When touched, the creature who touched it is exposed to the shadowflame corruption disease. This disease can be cured by crushing the gem itself and having the infected ingest its dust particles. This powder can also be sprinkled on a wound, the stub of a lost limb, or a dead body to heal the wound, grow back the limb, or bring the body back to life, with the exception that it does not restore hit points. The gem is sought after due to mysterious stories of it being able to raise the dead.
