Scourgeborne[edit]

Serpentine bodies are really common among the history, on creatures such as wurms, snakes and many others. Some of the astronomical and horrible power of these creatures are shed as though it were old skin. Under strange nights of starless skies, a speck of that power falls onto some unfortunate pregnant people, making their child grow a abnormal tail...

Scourge Tail[edit]

Scourgebornes are identified by their strange, aberrant tails. The rest of their bodies are usually humanoid, some with elven traits as well. Their tails are actually a vestige of the original serpentine bodies that contributed to their birth. However, due to their mixed blood, all that remains are these alien tails that resemble nothing of a typical sight. They are largely useless, used only to identify scourgebornes. Needless to say, these tails are often a source of shame and mockery. Many scourgebornes will opt for clothing that hides it, usually employing long, dragging robes. They are unable to remove it, however, as it is supposedly fatal.

Scourges, The People of Long[edit]

The Scourges are great celestial beings with serpentine bodies, beings who can eat whole universes as if they were a water molecule. When they move, their essence falls, and sometimes it impregnates human or elves fetuses, making them scourgebornes. This power imparted to the babies is not lost but rather runs rampant, speeding up their development often so they become powerful by the age they are teenagers. However, this rapid development merely leads to tragedy, as the premature mind and body often cannot accommodate this strange power for long. Most scourgebornes are painfully disintegrated into dust before they reach adulthood as a result. Given the mysterious nature of the Scourges, few monastic traditions or disciplined orders of warriors are able to train scourgebornes to contain their power and prolong their lives.

Devourers[edit]

Being born largely from human or elven offspring, scourgebornes retain much of their parent races' temperaments. However, the rampant power and growth spurred in them at young ages can make them rash or angry. They are notably implacable when hungry. This is believed to mirror the devouring aspect of the Scourges, who are beings that devour galaxies without feeling an ounce of satisfaction. Scourgebornes have this property as well, sort of. They are big eaters, able to eat as much as they want without much consequence. Needless to say, they sometimes draw the ire of people who mistake this for excellent metabolism.

Scourgeborne Names[edit]

Having come from human and elven upbringing, scourgebornes usually take on the names of the environment in which they were raised. Upon realizing their true nature or attaining higher powers, they may choose new names for themselves to better suit their tastes.

Male: Shura, Ur'Agath, Ian, Man'Tathos, Paltros

Swimmer. Your tail is the only useful one out of all scourgebornes, being able to help you swim. You have a swimming speed of 30 feet.
Water Affinity. You have resistance to acid damage. You can also breathe both air and water.

Hell[edit]

The hell Scourge is one of the most terrifying beings in the multiverse. It is an enormous creature that functions as a house for all sorts of horrible things. According to researchers, it is the home to all dead gods and demons, along with powerful demigods. Hell scourgebornes have properties derived from these squatters on their Scourge origin.

Ability Score Increase. Your Intelligence score increases by 1.
Devilish Build. You have resistance to fire damage. You also have eyes that can pierce the darkness. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can't discern color in darkness, only shades of gray. Magical darkness doesn't affect your darkvision.

Storm Scourges throw universes in random direction, giving them energy and also making turmoil. Like their tumultuous Scourge origin, scourgebornes of storm embody that of tempestuous elements.

Ability Score Increase. Your Dexterity score increases by 1.
Storm Resilience. You are a electric being. You have resistance to lightning and thunder damage.

Divine[edit]

The divine Scourge is the serpent of time and above. It never moves as long as it doesn´t need to, making divine scourgebornes the rarest of their kind, as it does not shed when it does not move. Scourgebornes of the divine origin have longer life expectancies than other subraces, being able to live often to their full lifespan.

Ability Score Increase. Your Charisma score increases by 1.
Godly Purge. You are resistant to radiant damage, and have advantage against being charmed and frightened.

Undead[edit]

The undead Scourges, or Bone Serpents, are monsters made by the suffering created inside the Hell Scourge. They are made out of bones, and are the smallest of the Scourges. Undead scourgebornes have emaciated exteriors and messed up biologics that make them inured or unaffected by things that normally poison living creatures.

Ability Score Increase. Your Wisdom score increases by 1.
Undead Gift. You don't care if they try to kill you, you are almost undead anyways. You have immunity to poison damage and cannot be poisoned. You also have advantage against being frightened.
