Savage Human[edit]

“The more I see of what you call civilization, the more highly I think of what you call savagery!” ― Robert E. Howard, King Kull

Physical Description[edit]

The Savage Humans share many of the same characteristics with civilized humans, with some exceptions. Due to their aggressive and tribal lifestyle, it is survival of the fittest. Thus many Savage Humans have toned bodies and are large in stature. Their clothes are comprised of animal pelts adorned with decorative bones, claws, and fangs. The only accessories they wear are the trophies they've taken from their hunts or their opponents. Tattoos, body paints, and scars are worn openly as a way to pride themselves with their bodies; which they have molded to perfection throughout their lives and experiences.

History[edit]

Savages, or at least that's what those who live in cities call them. The Savage Humans are the descendants of those humans who grew tired of civilizations and their own weakness. Over many years these people eventually found one another and formed a roaming band of individuals, united by their common interests of the more.. primal things in life. Now they are a large nomadic tribe under the principle of survival of the fittest.

Society & Culture[edit]

Although society is a bit of a stretch, there is a set of loose rules among them. The strongest shall lead with guidance from the wisest. Disputes upon which no solution can be agreed upon are to be decided by combat, winner takes all. That's it, too many rules interrupts the simple way of life that they're so fond of. Day to day they hunt and forage, moving with their prey. Their quarries change from time to time, depending on what is found, or what they simply enjoy hunting at the time. Rather than going after the normal prey, they seek the thrill of a hunt, preying on dangerous game and monsters that roam the land. What they don't use they are able to trade for better tools, weapons, and what little commodities they use. Those who come looking for the tribe vary. There's the beforementioned traders. Collectors hoping to find a trophy to display, or request a hunt. Adventurers joining them on their travels for a time. Then there are warriors, who come to prove their strength in either one on one combat, or on a hunt. Of course all are welcome, though if you plan to stay you must be able to survive on your own. Thus brings the last group of people who generally visit the tribe. Those who grew tired of civilization and their own weakness, and sought the Savages out.
