Challenge 4 (1,100 XP) Telepathic Bond. The rokuro-kubi ignores the range restriction on its telepathy when communicating with a creature it has charmed. The two don't even need to be on the same plane of existence. Shapechanger. The rokuro-kubi can use its action to polymorph into a Small or Medium humanoid, or back into its true form. Other than its size and speed, its statistics are the same in each form. Any equipment it is wearing or carrying isn't transformed. It reverts to its true form if it dies. ACTIONS Charm. One humanoid the rokuro-kubi can see within 30 feet of it must succeed on a DC 15 Wisdom saving throw or be magically charmed for 1 day. The charmed target obeys the fiend's verbal or telepathic commands. If the target suffers any harm or receives a suicidal command, it can repeat the saving throw, ending the effect on a success. If the target successfully saves against the effect, or if the effect on it ends, the target is immune to this rokuro-kubi's Charm for the next 24 hours. The rokuro-kubi can have only one target charmed at a time. If it charms another, the effect on the previous target ends. Tentacle (Fiend Form Only). Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 8 (1d6 + 5) slashing damage. Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit., reach 20 ft., one target. Hit: 8 (1d6 + 5) piercing damage and the target is grappled (escape DC 15). Until the grapple ends, the target is restrained and the rokuro-kubi can't bite another target. Swallow. The rokuro-kubi makes one bite attack against a Medium or smaller target it is grappling. If the attack hits, the target is swallowed, and the grapple ends. The swallowed target is blinded and restrained, it has total cover against attacks and other effects outside the rokuro-kubi, and it takes 5 (1d10) acid damage at the start of each of the rokuro-kubi's turns. The rokuro-kubi can have only one target swallowed at a time. If the rokuro-kubi dies, a swallowed creature is no longer restrained by it and can escape from the corpse using 5 feet of movement, exiting prone. Etherealness. The rokuro-kubi magically enters the Ethereal Plane from the Material Plane, or vice versa.

The rokuro-kubi generally appears as an incredibly seductive young mistress or gentleman, with an amazing body from the most erotic of dreams. Their silky clothes barely cover their sensual form, their faces are sweet yet speak of hidden pleasure with perfect ivory teeth and amazing eyes. Their hair is lustrous and shines in the candlelight. To top it off they are easy to take home and incredibly flirtatious, they would be the ultimate one night stand but tragically they are far more to what meets the eye. Many people have slept with the rokuro-kubi and nothing has happened except for an amazing night of passion. But there are times when the rokuro-kubi must feed and it hungers for the flesh of mortals in the literal sense. They also make amazing spies and assassins because when they spring upon their unwary prey it's over in but an instant of terror and blood before their victim realizes what has happened. When they morph into their true form which is incredibly startling, where there should be a soft and firm stomach with beautiful organs attached to a fine nether region is actually a giant maw the size of a horse with small humanlike legs and arms attached and the neck of the rokuro-kubi stretches and becomes snake-like, with its face transitioning into a hideous fanged version of it's original version. Quickly the head attacks the surprised victim biting and wrapping around the victim to draw it into the horrific toothed maw with a crown of barbed tentacles toward its nether regions of gnashing doom. The rokuro-kubi are distantly related to jiangshi and oni and are somewhere between a yokai and the rakshakas and act as go-between. They might have been attractive youths in life but when brought back from death they are now incredibly attractive. Powerful akuma lords use networks of them to gather information and spread lies.
