I am nominating Aarnott for his help on D&D Wiki. He has helped answer questions from users, usher in new helpful policies, standardize pages, and help with things on the To-Do list. He would make a great admin. --Green Dragon 13:02, 19 February 2008 (MST)

Candidates Prelude
Questions for the candidate

Dear candidate, thank you for offering to serve D&D Wiki in this capacity. Please take the time to answer a few generic questions to provide guidance for voters:

1. What sysop chores do you anticipate helping with? Please read the page about administrators and the administrators' reading list on Wikipedia before answering.
A: I think the most basic admin task I will be doing is correcting errors as I see them on protected pages. This namely will be fixing any linking errors I see in the SRD (which I run across very often).
I am a very good script writer (when I get the time to sit down and do it) and I will make some test scripts (and once they are verified) run them to fix common linking problems I see as well.
I will delete pages when the situation warrants it. I also patrol the Recent Changes page often enough to see requests for page protection. I tend to look at talk pages and new pages the second I see them.
I think that being an admin will just allow me to do the things I normally would, just with less hindrance. Whenever I go through a page I correct obvious errors I see, and I also try to MOI admins right now when I see someone wants a page deleted or protected. The difference would be that I would just do those things directly instead.
2. Of your articles or contributions to D&D Wiki, are there any with which you are particularly pleased, and why?
A: Tough question because I have a bad habit of not finishing the things I would really like to see finished (though I do work on them intermittently). I was quite proud of the changes I made to the jousting rules, as I think they became more fun and fleshed out.
Most of my contributions are helping out other users by answering questions or trying to improve the site (be it through an NPC Generator attempt or adding DPLs to the Races).
3. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or do you feel other users have caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
A: I haven't had any run-ins with other users yet that I can think of. I do get in a lot of discussions though (Talk:Dungeons_and_Dragons#New_Addition_to_Template:Author, Talk:Orgasm, Talk:Main_Page#Semantic_MediaWiki, UA_talk:Variant_Rules#Yuck.21).
