Hey, so before you you go changing this again, i would recommend making an alternate raccoon folk as opposed to making that many drastic changes to the race, like people have done with other races on this site.

Raccoon Folk[edit]

"Some people can read War and Peace and come away thinking it's a simple adventure story. Others can read the ingredients on a chewing gum wrapper and unlock the secrets of the universe". -Lex Luthor

Raccoon Folk, are a secretive race that likes to roam at night. Those who roam in the day are a more brave and adventurous type of Kin. Raccoon folk mostly consist of Raccoons and Tanuki, but have a distant relative of Possums with similar traits.

Physical Description[edit]

Raccoon Folk are raccoon-like humanoids who are a bit smaller than most humans. They usually grow to be about 3 feet tall with the tallest ever recorded being 4'5 tall. It is said that any Raccoon Folk born with more than 5 rings on their tail will become a great and powerful leader who leads their people to new lands. Or perhaps, they will be a great villain that will only cause pain and suffering to those around them. Raccoon Folk come in variety of colors, such as black and grey, auburn and dark magenta, and red and brown being a few types. These critters reach maturity at the age of 15 and live to be 80 years old. The healthiest and most fit Raccoon Folk live to be 100 years old.

History[edit]

Raccoon Folk were originally created when a Raccoon stepped into an Alchemist's supposed failed experiment. The concoction gave the Raccoon human characteristics in which it than ran away and bred with a wild Raccoon. After many generations, Raccoon Folk fully came to life when a traveling bard visited a rather large city hidden in the trees known as Molfuul. From then on Raccoon Folk travel far and wide and are well known to most back ally dealers and crooks due to their habit of getting into trouble.

Society[edit]

Raccoon Folk are very secretive and strange race. They barely trust outsiders but if they do they will show them nothing but affection and gifts, usually food. Raccoon Folk usually follow the ways of their current Elders or King such as whether they should steal from small villages to survive or to grow their own food and make their own supplies.

Raccoon Folk are typically seen as shady little creatures because most Raccoon Folk use their size to their advantage by pickpocketing, tricking clueless people into giving them their money, or just straight up robbing people. However when they are in a city that is under their complete control, Raccoon Folk tend to be extremely kind, as long as you don't look suspicious because somehow they can just tell if you're up to something.

If you do for some reason hurt or do something bad to a Raccoon Folk and you let them live, they will make sure you are hunted down by whatever they can get their hands on or do themselves, similar to if you do something nice to a Raccoon Folk, except this time they will see you as a potential friend and will treat to nicer and possibly welcome you into their homes.
