Pyronites are a magma-based life form whose body is composed of brown and black rocks that have yellow or red magma, they have a humanoid shape with large flaming hands with a distinctive head that simulates a large torch.

History[edit]

You go back to a distant day where 2 titans faced each other, the primordial of fire that roared furiously against the mighty wall of the primordial of the earth, a battle that was called hell on earth, neither gave signs of backing down fighting, until both gave the final blow, no one knows who won, the only thing that is remembered was the huge geyser of fire and the huge tremor that took place that day, The burning flames of the hurricane of fire along with the powerful blows of the great mountains, gave life to the pyronites, that continent that was completely converted into an island composed of magma accompanied by the eternal flames of the primordial fire, became the home of these children of fire and earth.

Society[edit]

They are a race according to their elements, most represent traits of impulsiveness and temperament that resembles fire itself, with a mocking and somewhat arrogant attitude, along with the durability and strength of a mountain. The pyronites are a society that lives life to the fullest, they live their days as if it were their last, in their words the most abundant thing should be fun.

Pyronites Traits[edit]

Don't try to turn me off, it'll make your life hell.
Ability Score Increase. Strength score increases by 1 and your Constitution score increases by 2.
Age. Pyronites have the same lifespan equivalent to that of a star. They can live for billions of years. The oldest pyronite recorded was 14 billion years old.
Alignment. Pyronites They tend to be mostly chaotic, due to their personality they can cause conflicts.
Size. Pyronites vary extremely in height and build, from barely 5 feet to well over 8 feet tall. Your size is Medium.
Speed. Your base walking speed is 30 feet.
Heatblast. Pyronites have the ability to generate, manipulate and project intense heat. You know the fire bolt cantrip.
Son of Fire. As a child of fire, you are one of the few who are perfectly in sync with it. You are resistant to fire damage. You also have advantage in saving throws against effects that inflict fire damage.
Son of the Earth. Being a child of the earth, you also have the ability to telekinetically control the rocks around you. You know the mold earth cantrip.
The Strength of Fire and Earth. Your AC when armored is equal to 12 + your Constitution modifier. You may use a shield and still gain this benefit. You also have advantage on saving throws against exhaustion in environments of Extreme Heat, as detailed in Chapter 5 of the DMG, and against the poisoned condition.
Falling With style. As a bonus action, you can boost yourself with your flames. Until the end of your turn, you have a flying speed equal to your walking speed. At the end of your turn, if you have not landed, you will fall. You can use this trait a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, regaining all use after you finish a long rest.
Nemesis of Water. While submerged in water, you have disadvantage on all ability checks and saving throws.
Darkvision. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can't discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.
Languages. You can speak, read, and write Common, Ignan and Primordial.

Expanded Options[edit]

Variant Feature - Supernova

Replaces Strength of Fire and Earth.
When you fall to 0 hit points, you fall to 1 hit point instead. When you do, you can use your reaction to cause a large explosion of fire from yourself. All creatures within 30 feet of you must make a Dexterity saving throw (DC = 8 + your Constitution modifier + your proficiency bonus). On a failed save, they take 3d6 fire damage and take half as much damage on success. You must finish a long rest before using this trait again.

Variant Feature - Like a Sun

Replaces Son of the Earth
You do not need to eat, sleep, or breathe. Instead of sleeping, you enter a state of inactivity for 6 hours. During this time, you are considered aware of your surroundings.

Optional Feature - Unexpected Reaction

If you are ever inflicted with a disease, your flames turn blue. All fire damage from your Heatblast and Supernova traits become cold damage instead.
