Psycheborn[edit]
Physical Description[edit]
Psycheborn retain the basic physical form of their base race but are distinguished by their ethereal manifestations.
History[edit]
The history of the Psycheborn is as varied as the races they originate from, with their unique traits emerging in individuals across many cultures.
Psycheborn Names[edit]
Names follow the conventions of their base race.
Male: --Base race male names--
Female: --Base race female names--
Psycheborn Traits[edit]
As a Psycheborn, you gain the following racial traits, replacing those of your base race.
- Ability Score Increase
- Your Intelligence score increases by 2, and your Wisdom score increases by 1.
- Age
- As per base race.
- Alignment
- Most Psycheborn tend towards neutrality, reflecting their internal emotional balance.
- Size
- Your size is Medium.
- Speed
- Your base walking speed is 30 feet.
- Emotional Manifestation
- You can summon either the Joyous Echo or the Sorrowful Shade as an action. Each manifestation has unique abilities:
- Joyous Echo Abilities:
- Passive (Empathic Resonance): Automatically grants a reroll for a failed saving throw against being charmed or frightened for you or an ally within 10 feet, once per long rest.
- Active (Inspiring Presence): Grants a bonus to the next attack roll, ability check, or saving throw for you and allies within 30 feet equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum of +1), once per long rest.
- Sorrowful Shade Abilities:
- Passive (Shadow's Caution): Grants a bonus to AC or a saving throw against an attack or harmful spell equal to half your level (rounded down), once per long rest.
- Active (Gloom Strike): Deals psychic damage to a target within 30 feet equal to 1d8 + your Intelligence modifier on a failed Wisdom saving throw, once per long rest.
- Joyous Echo Abilities:
- Empathic Understanding
- You have proficiency in the Insight skill.
- Languages
- As per base race, plus one language of your choice.
