Prismatic Burst. If the cube is dealt lightning damage or is killed, it uses its prismatic spray attack, directed towards the source of the damage.

Radiant Absorption. Whenever the cube is subjected to radiant damage, it takes no damage and instead regains a number of hit points equal to the acid damage that would have been dealt. Additionally, any radiant damage it takes, recharges its chromatic spray to full.

ACTIONS

Prismatic Spray (Recharge 5-6). The cube casts the chromatic spray spell at ninth level. Choose lightning for the damage type.

This cube is quite similar to the gelatinous cube, so much so that it is often remarked as its flashier, more colorful cousin. The only difference between the two in appearance is that one is glazed in a thin covering of prismatic sludge, which glows with a reflective sheen not unlike light bouncing off of a pond. When it moves, it leaves a trail of shiny liquid in its wake, turning any dungeon you find this colorful ooze in, into a reflective, sticky mess.

This creature has been very disputed as to its origin, but the recentness of its discovery has led many to believe it was a creation or breeding experiment of some unhinged wizard. Others believe that it was naturally created by a gelatinous cube being exposed to aberrant sorcery or high voltage. The glaze that covers the cube's body is thick enough to make them unable to engulf creatures, but also non acidic and harmless. However, the liquid reacts negatively when exposed to electricity, becoming thin and exploding. It reacts positively when exposed to radiance, however, and appears to heal itself at an advanced rate. The liquid is also apparently delicious according to those daring enough to try it. They claim it has a nauseatingly yet sickeningly sweet taste.
