Pausing Amulet (5e Equipment)

From D&D Wiki

Jump to: navigation, search

Wondrous item, uncommon (major) (requires attunement)

This amulet consists of fancy wrought iron holding a tiny diamond. The amulet has 3 charges. When you fail a saving throw to take half or no damage from an effect or an attack roll hits you, the amulet automatically expends a charge and flashes a dim, white light, pausing time around you for just a moment. You can choose to roll the saving throw again, or to have the attacker roll their attack roll again. In either case, you choose which roll is used. You can then move 5 feet without provoking opportunity attacks.

This amulet regains all expended charges at dawn, noon, and dusk each day. When the amulet expends its last charge, roll a d20. On a 1, the diamond crumbles into ashes and is destroyed, leaving a nonmagical amulet behind. Replacing the diamond does not restore the amulet's magic.
