Stub Logo.png This page is incomplete and/or lacking flavor. Reason: Incomplete. This really needs to be fleshed out because as of right now it lacks any substantial Fluff. While it can be regarded by some as useless information it has a significant impact on how your content is used by players. Consult the 5e Race Design Guide for help.

Scales.png This page is of questionable balance. Reason: Stronger than any first party race. Compare this to the first parties races, Aarakocra, -5 flying speed and then a handful of additional traits and beneifts. Overall needs a rework both from a mechanical perspective to better integrate with the first party content. Consult the 5e Race Design Guide for help and see the Featured Articles pages for some exemplary content.

Owlborn[edit]

Physical Description[edit]

Owlborns are taller than humans, and their feathers make them appear to be very broad. Their facial features are dependent on the subspecies of owl that they are. For example: one with the blood of a great horned owl blood would have very prominent and sharp ears.

History[edit]

Owlborn have been a reclusive species for most of their history, with very little contact with other species. Few owlborn are born with the desire to leave home, but those that do rarely return home. Their race hails from the island of Terraibis, which appears is a small but sizable continent that is equally divided between different environments and biomes.

For the owlborn, their naming day is one of the most important events they take part in. Not one of them is named at birth; instead they are named when they have completed a set of studies, and take a name that signifies their expertise.

They are mostly a peaceful species, however their warriors are fearsome and well-trained in many different martial arts.

Society[edit]

Most of them live in clans that are separated by their subspecies. The clan names are: Virginianus, Zeylonensis, Brucei, Alba, Flammeus, Megascops, Scandiacus, Whiteneyi, Strigidae, Glaucidium.

Most owlborn names are plays off of their clan names, and their species.
