Sure Looks Strange to Me! A beast or humanoid that can see the purple people eater must make a DC 14 Wisdom saving throw. On a failure, the creature becomes frightened of the purple people eater until the start of their next turn. A creature can only be affected by this ability once, the first time they see the purple people eater.

Space Travel. The purple people eater can survive infinitely in the vacuum of space. While moving through outer space, the purple people eater moves fast enough to reach any other planet in its solar system within 2 (1d4) minutes, or any other solar system within 7 (2d6) days.

ACTIONS

Multiattack. The purple people eater makes two slam attacks.

Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 10 (2d6 + 3) piercing damage. If the target is Medium or smaller, it is grappled (escape DC 14). Until this grapple ends, the target is restrained, and the purple people eater can't bite another target.

Slam. Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 7 (1d8 + 3) bludgeoning damage.

Eat Purple People. The purple people eater makes one bite attack against a Medium or smaller humanoid it is grappling, which is mostly or completely purple. If the attack hits, the target is swallowed, and the grapple ends. The swallowed target is blinded and restrained, it has total cover against attacks and other effects outside the purple people eater, and it takes 10 (3d6) acid damage at the start of each of the purple people eater's turns. The purple people eater can have only one target swallowed at a time.
If the purple people eater dies, a swallowed creature is no longer restrained by it and can escape from the corpse using 5 feet of movement, exiting prone.

From the official music video.

Friendly alien creatures which are unfairly maligned due to their bizarre appearance and misleading name. While purple people eaters are indeed purple in color, they are not named for their own coloration, but rather for the fact that they only eat purple people.
Of course, since purple people are quite rare, purple people eaters rarely get the chance to indulge. Even when an opportunity to eat a purple person does come along, the purple people eater's good nature will often lead them to spare their prey anyway, often giving silly reasons why, such as because the person in question is "so tough." Purple people eaters don't really suffer for this, having adapted to go for nearly indefinite periods of time without requiring any food. That said, when a purple people eater does finally get the chance to eat a purple person, they greatly enjoy it, and have been heard to remark that it "sure is fine."
Purple people eaters have a love for music, and can play music through the hollow horn on the top of their head, producing a sound very much like a saxophone's. In the rare occasion when these creatures are found on our planet, it is usually because they've come to study humanoids' musical traditions. Their two greatest loves (besides eating purple people) are rock and roll, and short shorts.

Strange Nature. A one-eyed, one-horned, flying purple people eater doesn't require air.
