Ninetales (5e Creature)
From D&D Wiki
Small elemental, neutral
Flash Fire. If the ninetales is hit by an attack that deals fire damage, on the ninetales' next turn they can add +1 to their attack die. This ability can stack (as in 1 attack gives +1, 2 attacks gives +2, 3 attacks gives +3) but resets once they make an attack.
Inferno. Ranged Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 60/120 ft., one target. Hit: 10 (2d6 + 3) fire damage.
Will-O-Wisp. The ninetales targets one creature within sight and ignites them.
Ninetales Variant (Alolan)
Ice Resistances. Instead of the normal immunity and vulnerability, the alolan ninetales has an immunity of cold damage and a vulnerability of fire. Also, the alolan ninetales knows Auran instead of Ignan for its language.
Snow Cloak. Instead of the normal feature the alolan ninetales gains this one. When in snowy weather or in a snowy environment, alolan ninetales can use its Hide action as a reaction.
Icy Wind. Ranged Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 30 ft. cone. Hit: 10 (2d6 + 3) cold damage. This attack goes in place of Inferno.
Dazzling Gleam. Ranged Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 30 ft. cone. Hit: 10 (2d6 + 3) radiant damage. This attack goes in place of Will-O-Wisp.
Ninetales and alolan ninetales are very similar creatures, the biggest difference being where they were born and raised. Ninetales are creatures of fire, burning any enemy that bothers it, or just anyone who grabs their tail. They are very vengeful creatures. Alolan ninetales are similar, but if you grab their tails, you turns into a you-cicle, frozen solid. However, if you're simply lost in the snowy mountains, there may be a ninetales to guide you to where you need to go.
