<Shadowborn>[edit]

Contracted Arrival: Your kind was not originally from this world, but were brought here by a powerful being known as the Contractor. As a result, you have a sense of obligation towards the Contractor, and may feel compelled to fulfill certain tasks or obligations in exchange for your continued existence in this world.


<Shadowborn> Traits[edit]

Ability Score Increase. Your Dexterity score increases by 1, and your Intelligence score increases by 1.
Age. Shadowborn reach adulthood at a similar rate to humans, but they are not considered to have entered adulthood until they reach 60. They can live to be many hundreds of years old with ease, and some have even lived for thousands of years due to their demonic nature.
Alignment. Shadowborn society is mostly summoned by other because of that most shadowborn are pushed towards a lawful alignment.
Size. Shadowborn are humanoid in form, standing just under 6 feet tall and weighing between 100 and 175 pounds. Your size is medium.
Speed. Your base walking speed is 30 feet.
Darkvision. Accustomed to twilit forests and the night sky, you have superior vision in dark and dim conditions. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can’t discern color in darkness, only shades of gray
Keen Senses. You are proficient in the Perception skill
Bonus Cantrip. You know one cantrip of your choice from the Wizard spell list. Intelligence is your spellcasting ability for it.
Shadow Arcane Affinity. at 4th level You can cast detect magic and magic weapon with this trait, Intelligence is your spellcasting ability for them. Once you cast either spell, you can't cast it again with this trait until you finish a short or long rest. In addition if you are 8th level if you casted magic weapon when you use the weapon with that spell to attack a target that is in dim light or darkness, you make the attack roll with advantage.
Trance.. You don't need to sleep, but meditate semiconsciously for 4 hours a day. While meditating, you can dream after a fashion; such dreams are actually mental exercises that have become reflexive through years of practice. After resting in this way, you gain the same benefit that a human does from 8 hours of sleep. If you are 8th level when you enter your trance, you can choose to enter a state of shadowed trance instead. In this state, you are able to blend in with the shadows, making it more difficult for enemies to detect you.
Shadowborn Ancestry. You have advantage on saves against being charmed or frightened and on 5th level magic can’t put you to sleep.
Shadow Step. On 5th level as a bonus action, you can teleport up to 60 feet to an unoccupied space you can see that is in dim light or darkness. You must complete a short or long rest before you can use this ability again.
Shadow Stealth. onYou can attempt to hide even when you are only lightly obscured by dim light or darkness
Vulnerability to Radiant Damage. Radiant damage deals bonus damage to you because of your shadow nature
Languages. You can speak, read, and write Common, shadow language and one other language of your choice.
