Wondrous item, legendary (requires attunement)

A mask made of stone, with a ruby covering one eye socket and lapis lazuli covering the other. When worn by the attuned, the gems are see-through and tint the world slightly, making reds and blues more pronounced.

The mask has 25 charges for the following properties. It regains 3d4 + 8 expended charges daily at dawn.

Protection from Fire & Ice. As an action, you may spend 3 charges to grant yourself immunity to fire or cold damage and resistance to the other damage type for 1 hour.

Duality. Whenever you damage a creature with a spell that deals fire damage, you may spend a charge to have a seeping chill enters their body. Until the start of your next turn, the creature's movement speed is halved. In addition, whenever you damage a creature with a spell that deals cold damage, you may spend a charge to start having the cold burn the creature from the inside out. For 1 minute or until you use this property on the creature again, the creature takes 1d6 fire damage at the start of its turn.

Spells of the Elements. You may use the mask to cast any of the following spells with a spell save DC of 18: delayed blast fireball (7 charges), fireball (3 charges), flame strike (4 charges), freezing sphere (5 charges), ice storm (4 charges), Melf's minute meteors (3 charges), meteor swarm (13 charges), wall of fire (4 charges), and wall of ice (6 charges).
