Right before my eyes, this man grew to double my size! It's amazing what you see after being alone in the Jungle for that long
—Explorer's comment of a Magnitudian sighting in the Durian Jungle

Physical Description[edit]

The magnitudians vary in weight and size depending on what they wish to be but it is common to see male Magnitudians with long and wild beards down to the bottom of their chests with long unkempt hair. Their hair colours are quite limited to only black, brown and grey (with age) but their eye colours come in a large variety of jet black to pearly white and everything in between. Depending on the tribe that the magnitudian belongs to there body composition can vary from skinny to muscular to obese. The female Magnitudians have the same hair colours of men but actually, tend to be better kept with their hair.

A long time ago in the deep jungle of Durian, the magnitudians evolved from some unknown link that anthropologists consider similar to changelings except with one major difference. The magnitudians can alter their height and weight drastically rather than change shape entirely. Anthropologists working on the magnitudians believe that the reason for this evolutionary skill is due to the need to reach food high up in the Durian Jungles ever-growing trees (some of which reach the cloud line) and to also fight or hide from predators in the wild before any distinct intelligence began to appear within the species.

The magnitudians managed to begin using tools for societal skills such as agriculture, hunting and foraging, cooking and construction. Communities began to form with the development of Magnitudian technology which showed somewhat of a golden age for the magnitudians as they continued to thrive within the Durian Jungle. For unforeseen and undocumented reasons the Magnitudians began to split off into individual tribes which all had there own individual sections of the jungle.

This is where the Magnitudians began to evolve separately into their subraces and took on their own forms of survival, laws and orders and distinct traditions and cultures. All tribes unite under one central leader to this day which is decided by tribal combat to either death or humiliation, this is conducted in the current leader's district of the jungle (giving them the advantage).

To this day the Magnitudians still reside in the Durian Jungle and now proclaim it as their capital. The species is still not that intelligent but makes up for it with there specific but advantageous trait being able to change their size at will. At this moment the tribes are at peace and all communities of all tribes seem to be thriving just like they did in their golden age.

There are five distinct tribes within the Magnitudians. All tribes have leaders that form a council which help serve the central leader of all tribes, this is so that decisions made as a race can be beneficial for all tribes as well as that all tribes have a role for the betterment of the Magnitudians as a race. Every time the previous central leader dies all tribes put up a contender to fight in tribal combat for the control over the Magnitudians.

The Quassatio Tribe - The tribe of the quassatio choose to change their size to tiny in order to hide high up in the treetops, they swing from tree to tree and have the role of scouts and guards for the Magnitudian race. They have the ability to use magic that channels the elemental power of air due to them being high in the trees. Their eye colour is normally a shade of blue.

The Subterra Tribe - The tribe of the subterra choose to change their size to small in order to help them fit into the cracks of the earth, they tunnel around the jungles underground and create pathways from one end of the jungle to the other. The subterra are assigned as the miners of the Magnatudians and have evolved traits such as claws and darkvision to help them be more effective underground. Their eyes are normally black or grey depending on how deep underground they are born in.

The Flamma Tribe - The tribe of the flamma choose to have their size at medium so they have enough the strength and stride length to manoeuvre around the Durian Jungles lava lakes to the North. They are tasked with being the blacksmiths and crafters of the Magnitudians since they are in the perfect environment for forging, they are also tasked with preventing the lava from flowing into the jungle and causing a jungle fire. They have evolved a rocky exterior exoskeleton, almost like a shell which works as an effective defence against the lava of their area. Their eyes are normally a shade of red, orange or yellow.

The Stagnum Tribe - The tribe of the Stagnum choose to have their size at small so they can quickly move about and between the lakes and of the Durian Jungle to the South. They are given the task of hunters and research. This tribe normally will hunt fish for the Magnitudian food count and also research new tools and items for the betterment of the race; This is because the Stagnum tribe is the most intelligent of all the tribes. They have evolved the traits of being adept in water magic and bonuses in water due to them evolving gills and scales in advantageous positions around there bodies. Their eye colours range from shades of blue and varieties and purities of white.

The Custos Tribe - The tribe of the Custos choose their size to be large so they have the strength and power to protect the Durian Jungle. They are mainly tasked with protecting the central leader and council of the Magniutudians; as well as this, they are also assigned to be the warriors of the Magnitudians due to their immense strength. This tribe has evolved a greater feat of strength regardless of their size. This tribe is also trained for combat from the earliest point of them being alive. Their eye colour is mainly a shade of green or brown.

There is a sixth tribe of the Magnitudians but they refuse to join the council since they do not agree with the ways of modern Magnitudians. These Magnitudians choose to remain in the mountains to the West of the Jungle of Durian; even though the mountains are still covered by the jungle itself. The Prima tribe choose to remain a huge size to appear intimidating to the other tribes since they do not wish to be disturbed. This tribe has been cut off from any technological advances of the Magnitudians making them less intelligent when compared to the other tribes. They have begun to worship a deity in recent years making there religious understanding hugely greater than the other tribes giving them some adept knowledge in holy magic and religion as a whole.
