Physical Description[edit]

Lycanroc's midnight form is a bipedal pokemon resembling slouching werewolf and is covered in red and white fur, with red covering most of its torso while white covers its arms, legs, snout and huge mane. Its mane ends in a sharp stone jutting out of the front which is used to attack its enemies. Its paws end in 3 digits with sharp, stone-like claws. It's most prominent feature is its red eyes.

Some lycanrocs have been known to have blue fur instead of red, but no one is sure what causes this.

History[edit]

Lycanrocs, and their rockruff cubs were first discovered in the canyons of the tropical island of Alola.

Although lycanrocs, at least in their midnight form, are bipedal, they start off as the quadruped puppies known as rockruff, which can actually grow into a variety of forms depending on the time of day. When a rockruff is about to change into a lycanroc, it will flee from its pack. If the change occurs during the night, it will change into the midnight variant of lycanroc. If it changes during the day, it will retain its quadruped form and turn into what is known as its "midday form", and, if it changes during a very specific hour during the day, it will change into a "dusk form", which is a combination of the midnight and midday form in that it is a quadruped that has a mane similar to its midnight form. However, no known "dawn" form has ever been discovered.

Society[edit]

When a rockruff changes into a lycanroc, it will almost never form a pack with others of its kind, including its midnight form. Because of this, lycanroc is regarded as a lone wolf and is often said that its the werewolf form of a person how got lost in the canyons of Poni Island. Of course, this is a myth, but its a story mostly told to keep children on Poni Island from wandering into the canyon and cave systems on the island.

Lycanrocs love to fight, and they especially love to fight intimidating opponents. Their blood-red eyes glow brighter the more this creature's blood boils. It prefers to goad its enemies into attacking it and, after taking the hit, will make a devastating counterattack with its sharp mane with such strength that it has been known to crush the bones of its opponents. Despite its fighting spirit and a desire to fight, it will not needlessly pick a fight and will only fight if necessary, and only against a worthy opponent. Towns are often hesitant to allow lycanrocs to enlist as guards, as they hardly think twice about disobeying an order someone gives them if it involves engaging an enemy they don't wish to battle.

Lycanroc Names[edit]

Lycanroc names are usually Terran. However, sometimes ones who choose to live in human society will take Common names.
