Scales.png This page is of questionable balance. Reason: Racial traits are significantly better than other first party feats and racial feats. Feats should not have level caps and the prereq's should have the race name in them to show their racial feats. These are more class feature type abilities than racial feats, see XGtE. 1d8 on an unarmed strike might as well be giving a monk their 11th level class feature early. Consult the 5e Race Design Guide and the 5e Feat Design Guide for help.

Work In Progress

Lithune

Terrifying yet elegant, lithunes are as beautiful as elves but with a touch of the Far Realm.

Physical Description

Lithune_Moth_New_Design.png
Art by Moth

Lithunes are elf-like in shape however they are far from elves. Lithunes have 4 eyes, two regular eyes as other races have, and two smaller eyes above, these eyes allow them to peer into the ethereal briefly. They have small tendrils over their bodies, two on each side of their face, two on each wrist and ankles, one on each side of their waist. They also have a long tongue which can extend up to 3 feet. Their skin varies from pink to purple to blue, their hair is usually a similar color but either much darker or lighter. Their eyes have black sclerae with golden or green irises and slit pupils. It is not uncommon for them to have blue, pink, or purple irises, however. Lithunes have no different sexes, they have the reproductive organs that both male and female creatures would normally have, some may look more masculine or feminine but this has no change on their reproductive organs.

History

Lithunes predate elves, humans, and many more of the sentient humanoid races that inhabit the world. Lithunes do not have much known history due to the fact that they never from groups of any kind, they are rare to find in any town or city and not many have done feats worthy of historical note. The ones who do know about them tell of their fierceness and charm, they are seen as incredibly self reliant, not even using weapons, sticking to their own magic and natural weaponry. Lithunes view other races as inferior, flawed, but mostly humans. They see themselves as the pinnacle of evolution, regardless of whether it is true or not. Lithunes are an alien species originating from the Far Realm, however at the point in time where they resided beyond our world, they were far from what they are today. It is due to their ability to force their own evolution by altering their biological coding and that of their offspring before birth that they are the way they are. Among each other, Lithunes will kill themselves, leaving only the strongest, unless mating, however the child-bearer will try to consume the other parent in order to gain the nutrients needed to create a new Lithune.

Society

There are no Lithune societies. Lithunes never socialize with others without killing each other, even when mating, the Lithune that bears the offspring will eat the other. Lithunes would not keep their children as they would likely get attacked by them, as well as their children are fully capable of growing on their own. Lithunes who grow from the wilderness lose their savage hostility once they find other humanoids to grow with.

Lithune Names

Lithunes have long and exotic names, often difficult to pronounce for other races.
